Modify split panel behavior on IPad
I would like to see changes made to the split panel on IPad. Specifically an example is: open the NKJV on the left panel to Luke, right panel open Pulpit Commentary to Luke have panels linked and sync. Swipe up on left panel brings up various Passage guides, exegetical etc. Clicking on Passage guide for instance opens in right panel replacing the Pulpit Commentary. So far this is okay. Now when I click on a different resource in the right panel it opens on the left panel replacing Luke, i.e. the resource I am trying to get more information on. I believe the new resource that is in reference to the original left panel open to Luke should open in the same, right panel leaving the original text in place. Otherwise I have to go through various gyrations to again have Luke open in left panel and the new resource/reference open in right for side by side analysis. Rather than change existing behavior I would recommend adding a feature to be able to lock a resource to a panel either right or left then all subsequent resources would open on the other panel. This feature could be toggled on or off. It seems inherently more intuitive that if you are trying to analyze a Bible verse or passage that when you swipe up to open guides and then open a guide that appears in the right side panel subsequent drilling down should remain in the right/same panel so as not to remove the original passage you are studying.
Agree this needs to be implemented sooner rather than later, the ability to be able to lock a panel would be a big improvement. Especially since the back arrow is cached, if the panel you want to 'lock' won't be able to be pulled back up
Yes. And add tabs to the multiple panels that are open. This would mimic the desktop version and be a tremendous resource to have available on a mobile platform (tablets).
On android too! The default behavior is very frustrating!
