Search open resource
Provide a quick way to search the currently active resource. Perhaps as an option in the swipe up menu or at least as the first option in the current search area.
Please make this happen as a seminary student there are so many times I need to find something in a book I'm reading and to have to exit the book the open the book I want to search so it will come up on my iPad recent list is a pain to say the least.
Is it just me? The current search button doesn't make a lot of sense in the mobile app. When I click search I typically want to find occurrences of a particular string within the text I am looking at. Instead, I am prompted with "Choose a verse". Huh? Ok. So I pick a verse. Then it takes me to some elaborate "search all my library" thing. That's not what I had in mind in the least (well, most of the time). All I wanted to do was find all the occurrences of "love" in the chapter I am reading so that I can count them or easily jump to the reference.
What I expect when I click the search button is to see a form where I can put in the search string, select a range to search, and then select "find next", "find previous" or "find all". The range selection should contain quick selections like current chapter, current book, OT, NT, entire bible but also a customizable range when you can free form put in starting and ending references. If you really want to jazz it up, it should also provide the ability to search a specific resource or specific type of resource and contain a button to jump to the full search that it currently does now.
Yes, please consider adding this. Every book reading app I use has this feature. Thanks for the great product.
